#1 Erik McCarty – RB – Junior – McAlester
One of the top running back in the state, McCarty has multiple offers from DI schools after posting 1,966 yards and 34 touchdowns last season. Look for more of the same from McCarty in 2021.
#2 Chase Faber – LB – Senior – McAlester
Faber plays with a controlled reckless abandonment that is fun to watch. Last season he made 151 tackles and five sacks from his linebacker spot. Look for Faber to be sideline-to-sideline this season. Again.
#3 Grayson Mathis – QB – Senior – Wilburton
A very effective quarterback, Mathis threw for more than 1,00 yards and 14 touchdowns in only four games. He is on track to break all of the passing records at Wilburton before he is done.
#4 Aubrey Runkle – WR/FS – Senior – Wilburton
Runkle was big-time for the Diggers last year. On offense he made 37 receptions for 440 yards and on defense he grabbed seven interceptions and made 48 tackles. He simply makes the team better.
#5 Bryson Cervantes – QB/S – Senior – Hartshorne
Cervantes will once again play both ways for Hartshorne. He has a good arm but can hurt you if he decides to run the ball. He has a linebacker mentality at the safety position and is not afraid of contact.
#6 Tracyn Eldridge – WR – Sophomore – Savanna
Last season was his first year of football and if that was an indicator of his talent, the Savanna faithful are in for a wonderful surprise. You will hear about the Eldridge kid in Savanna very soon.
#7 Eli Blankenship – QB/DB – Sophomore – Quinton
An exciting player to watch, Blankenship will return for his second season of varsity football giving Quinton a true playmaker at quarterback and safety. The ceiling is high with this one.
