Antlers Football preview – Presented By Pine Cellular

ANTLERS BEARCATS
Coach – DUSTIN BEASLEY

OFFENSE
The Bearcats have over half of their starters returning on both sides of the ball and look to use their experience to turn some heads in the upcoming season. On offense, the Bearcats return eight starters. At quarterback, Andrew Arnold (6-0, 175, Sr.) looks to take off where he left off, and with the help of an experienced running back Connor Hammonds (6-2, 185, Sr.) and full back Garrett Bailey (6-2, 230, Sr.), this offense has experience at some pretty important positions. On the offensive line, the Bearcats will bring back plenty of experience in John Miller (6-3, 265, Sr.), Triston Ingram (6-1, 290, Sr.), and Tyler Green (5-10, 260, Sr.). All three of these Bearcats have starting experience on the line. Expect to see Antlers to play a wishbone formation.

DEFENSE
The defense for the Bearcats brings back seven starters from last year and looks to dominate with the players they have returning. With two linebackers, two players from their secondary, and two players on the line returning, the confidence is high regarding defense. Hammonds, Bailey, Arnold, Miller, and Ingram all play on defense as well. Lining up at the defensive back positions are Arnold and Hammonds, who have both proven that they are needed for this defense to be at its best. Bailey will line up at linebacker and will be somebody to keep an eye on as he goes into his senior season. Dakota Williams (6-1, 175, Jr.) will line up at outside linebacker for the Bearcat defense alongside Bailey. Any successful defense needs a good defensive line, and with two returning starters, the Bearcats are confident. Miller and Ingram line up on both sides of the line, both starting on the defensive line. The Bearcats will play in a 3-4 formation, looking to attack and be aggressive.
