Battiest’s Carli LeForce – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Pine Cellular

High school athletes have a lot that they have to do to be successful. They have to stay focused in the classroom so that they are eligible to compete and they also need to put in work to be prepared for the competition. Carli LeForce is a sophomore at Battiest High School and she knows what is necessary to be the best competitor that she can be.

“I have put in a lot to get where I am,” she said. “Hard work, determination, and being willing to go the extra mile to better myself, either in the gym, on the field or track, or in the classroom. I keep myself motivated by trying to be my absolute best, no matter what I am doing.”

Carli is a member of the fastpitch softball, basketball, and track teams at Battiest. She plays catcher on the softball field, a guard on the basketball court, and on the track, she competes in the 400 meter, 800 meter, and 1600 meter dashes.

Throughout her life, LeForce says that she has had a lot of influences in her life. But she says that her family has played a big role in her success.

“My parents are the role models for my life,” she stated. “They have given me the mindset and competitivness that I carry with me each day. I enjoy going up against and beating my brothers, Zane and Noel, anytime I have the chance. I like to rub it in their face, but I have to thank them for my aggressiveness.”

There have been some great memories that she has made throughout her career, but Carli says that there is one personal accomplishment that stands out as her favorite.

“My highlight memory would have to be making it to state in track during my freshman year in the 400 meters,” she said. “For me, that was evidence that my hard work was paying off.”

Outside of playing sports, Carli is also an officer in the Future Farmers of America organization, a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and an active member of the youth group at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
