Broken Bow Football Preview: Defense – Presented by Pine Cellular

Head Coach – Rod Davis

2021: 8-3

There are six returning faces on the defensive side of the ball but not a lot of experience so the offense will probably need to carry the load initially. Along the front curtain of the defensive front will be O’Donnell, Leland Billy (6-3, 285 Sr.) and Karter Goss (6-2, 190, Jr.). The linebacking crew is headed up by junior Adin Coley (6-1, 210). “You can’t say enough about Adin Coley,” said Davis. “He is as good of a kid as you could imagine and in addition to being a great athlete is also a model citizen.” Joining Coley at linebacker will be Brumley, Lindly, and Jace Roberts (5-9, 170, Sr.) while the secondary will feature Cooks, Whitfield, Willis and Mark Martin (5-8, 160, Sr.). District 4A-4 will see a couple of changes with redistricting as Ada and Madill join the rest while McLain and Muldrow are gone. The annual battle with Idabel is always a date that is circled on the Savages’ calendar.“We have a lot of new faces on defense and the offensive line, but good experience at quarterback and our offensive skill positions,” said Davis.
