Antlers’ Dakota Williams – FFA Spotlight – Presented by OK Ag Credit

When people talk about Antlers football, they certainly talk about Dakota Williams. At 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, Williams has a big presence on the field. According to head coach Dustin Beasley, Williams is the type of player and person every coach wants in their program. The linebacker/wide receiver also enjoys spending time with his FFA group at school.

“I first got started in FFA in my eighth grade year,” said Williams. “Most of my friends are in FFA so I like being able to work on stuff with them. What I love most about football is being able to compete and feel the adrenaline of hundreds of people watching you. I also play baseball and basketball.”

Williams said he has always enjoyed the type of work the FFA has to offer.

“I’ve always liked to weld and work on things, so I decided to get in FFA myself,” said Williams. “I’ve enjoyed doing mainly building projects for people who want things built.”

While Williams does not show animals or work in a agriculture field, being part of FFA is an opportunity for Williams to learn other skills.

He’s also a member of the National Honor Society and is the student IT assistant.
“FFA is a ton of fun especially if you want to base your career around agriculture,” said Williams.

The senior is making plans for life after high school and thanks to his parents, Williams is confident in his future. “I am a senior and the plan is to go play college football and pursue a Wildlife Science degree and become a Wildlife Biologist,” said Williams. “My parents are a big influence on me without a doubt. They have made sure I had whatever it took to be where and I am now, and most importantly God for allowing me to do the things that I do.”
