Hollye Jernigen to lead the Buffaloes as Head Softball Coach – Presented by Fenton Nissan

McAlester Public Schools Athletic Department announced today that Hollye Jernigen will serve as the Head Softball Coach. Jernigen brings 12 years of coaching experience to the position. During her career, Hollye has held coaching positions at Glenpool, Mounds, and Hominy. In 2016 and 2017 she led Mounds to back-to-back District championships and another District championship in 2020 at Hominy. She was also named Region Coach of the Year in 2017.

Currently, Jernigen serves the Buffaloes as an assistant softball coach and Jr. High girls basketball coach.

James Singleton, MPS Athletic Director said: “We are excited that Hollye is taking on the task of leading our program. She is high-energy and has a lot of passion and knowledge of the game. We believe that these traits will make our program successful.”
