DAVIS WOLVES
Coach – GREG PARKER
OFFENSE
There is a lot of excitement around the Davis High School football team in 2021. With a very experienced head coach, returning starters, and no more playing in the middle of a pandemic, the Wolves are ready to go. Cody Carraway (5-9, 155, Sr.) will start at wide receiver again, after starting at that position a year ago. The coaching staff wants to utilize Carraway as much as they can, using his speed to give him space in the open field. Sharing the ball and having a balanced run and pass game will be important to the Wolves. Lane Rawls (5-9, 200, Jr.) will start at full back, with Jake Britt (5-7, 165, Sr.) lining up at full back. The Wolves look to return a very experienced offensive line, with multiple returning starters. Kobe England (6-3, 250, Jr.) and Connor Mohr (5-11, 185, Sr.) will play tackle and Kavan Bolding (5-10, 185, Sr.) will line up at center. The Wolves expect to run their offense out of a flexbone formation, wanting to control the line of scrimmage and make the defense play assignment football.
DEFENSE
Similar to the offense, the defense will return a majority of their starters as well. Levi Baxter (5-10, 230, Sr.) and Gavin Moore (6-0, 225, Sr.) will return to the defensive line, after starting there for the last two years. Head coach Greg Parker praises their hard work and determination, playing their absolute hardest every play. The Wolves return three linebackers as well, Tucker Miller (5-10, 190, Sr.), Drew Parks (5-9, 170, Sr.), and Jeston Idleman (5-9, 175, Sr.). The secondary has some experience as well, bringing back free safety Tuff Hammons (5-7, 145, Sr.). Hammons is one of the leaders on this team, and the coaching staff expects him to have a big year for the Wolves.
