Players to Watch
Rylynn Truett – Ada
Rylynn has a high softball IQ. She is a hard-nosed catcher who handles the pitching staff. She is a competitor and great teammate. She is the defensive backbone of the team.
Courtney Grey – Buffalo Valley
Grey is a very intelligent player who has everything you want in a player. She has great speed and power who also hits for average. She also pitches and has an ERA of 1.029. She is a do-it-all player who will have a great season and move on to play at a very high level after high school.
Joelee Williams – Byng
Joelee will be a four-year starter at Byng. She is an outstanding leader on and off the field. She is a respected player among her teammates.
Deann McGough – Haworth
A hard worker that is compassionate about athletics. She has had a lot of pressure placed on her shoulders the last two years in her sports but takes it with stride and continues to work hard.
Lanie French – Kingston
Lanie is a great kid that puts in the work and is a key member of this team. She is a leader and an outstanding example for the underclassmen.
Halle Giaudrone – Kiowa
Halle is an outstanding athlete and teammate. She is a key member of the team and will have a huge impact on the outcome of the season.
Brooklynn Weiher – McAlester
Brook is a great asset to the Lady Buff softball program. She is a power hitter and a leader of the team. Brook is a great student athlete that takes honor classes and is always that her classmates and teammates can look up to.
Meadow Baxter – Paoli
She will be one of two seniors on this season’s squad. She will play multiple positions with her main focus being at catcher.
Catyn Graham – Pittsburg
She is an outstanding second baseman that can bunt and hit for average. All around great player.
Lila Gragg – Quinton
Lila loves to play softball. She competes at a high level and is willing to play anywhere or do whatever is needed to see her teammates and team succeed. She is willing to not only be in the circle but also behind the plate.
Kaylee Cannon and Cady Ammons – Red Oak
Kaylee has caught and been the team leader behind the plate for three years. Cady has hit .450 both her freshman and sophomore years and is also a hard worker.
Haili Igou – Stuart
Haili is a hard-nosed, gritty player that is very versatile on the field. She has power and consistency from both sides of the plate.
Jayden Anderson – Tishomingo
Jayden is a force on the mound. The team is in almost every game when she is pitching. She is also a great teammate who cheers for all of her teammates.
Underclassmen to Watch
Bradi Odom – Ada
Last season, Bradi hit .380 and won 18 games pitching for the Lady Cougars. She is expected to have an outstanding sophomore year.
Raelea Johnson – Buffalo Valley
A very gifted freshman who will start on the infield and play third base, shortstop, and catcher. She has great hands and also is a very gifted hitter.
Kenzie Alford – Byng
Alford has worked hard in the offseason to get ready for this season. She is also an outstanding teammate.
Hannah Landreth – Haworth
Hannah has a high softball IQ since has played the game the majority of her life. She is a utility player that swings a good bat. Landreth is coming off of a torn ACL from eighth grade basketball. She may be limited this season due to that injury, but when she comes back, she will be a force.
Paige Igou – Kiowa
Igou knows her way around the softball field. She is a great kid and also a great teammate.
Shylie Mason – McAlester
Shylie is a sophmore that will pitch for the Lady Buffs this season. She has a lot of different pitches and will lead the team. Shylie is a team leader and is a great student in the class room by taking honor classes.
Skyla Webster – Paoli
She will be a freshman, that will be leaned on to help in the circle this season.
Katie Allen – Pittsburg
Katie has a lot of speed in the outfield. She hits for a high average and can steal bases.
Paislee Powell – Quinton
Paislee is a freshman that is expected to make a big impact. She will mostly be used in the outfield but can pretty much play anywhere on the field. She has stepped up a lot this summer with the loss of another freshman going down with an ACL tear.
Reagan Wade – Stuart
Reagan had a good campaign during her freshman season, she should be poised to make a strong bid during her sophomore season.
Kenadea Elkins – Tishomingo
Kenadea is a very athletic player who is expected to have a big season for Tishomingo.
Unsung Heroes
Ariana Munoz – Ada
Ariana started in the outfield playing all three positions. She also won four games while pitching.
Kaylan Griggs – Buffalo Valley
Kaylan does a lot of things that do not always get noticed. Whether it be going behind the plate to catch or always producing at the plate moving runners over, she is all about the team and not her own individual stats.
Torri Gustin – Byng
Gustin is a great kid and hard worker that does whatever it takes to help her team or teammates. She is an asset to the team.
Kynli Jones – McAlester
Kynli is a senior who leads by example. She is one of the hardest working players and never complains. Kynli will graduate in the top five percent of her class.
Tori Kilburn – Pittsburg
Tori has blossomed into a great center fielder. She can hit to all fields and not afraid to get dirty.
Elizabeth Brittain – Quinton
Elizabeth is like a sponge. She listens and absorbs anything that is told to her. She is willing to sacrifice her own body to get the out.
Graciee Noggle – Red Oak
Noggle is a gritty player that never fails to give it her all. She is hard nosed and is just a tough player that does things that go unnoticed.
Jadyn Dalton – Stuart
Jadyn is a hard worker that has leadership characteristics. She provides great pop from the left side of the plate.
