OFFENSE
After graduating several starters last season, Wayne head coach Brandon Sharp knows his Bulldogs will be young. But he says the young guys the coaches will look to are extremely athletic and have good size. Offensively, the Bulldogs will spread things out. While they will throw the ball, Sharp says their identity will come from power run game they’ll show from that spread formation. Leading the attack for Wayne is quarterback Jaxon Dill (6-1, 165, Soph.). In the passing game, he will look to get the ball to VYPE 100 athlete Kaleb Madden (5-11, 155, Sr.). Leading the ground attack are a pair of backs in Rhett Kennedy (5-7, 150, Sr.) and Isaac Hill (5-10, 175, Jr.).
DEFENSE
On the defensive side of the ball, Wayne will look to attack out of their 4-3 base. In the secondary, the Bulldogs will show a lot of man-to-man coverages so they can focus on stopping the run. VYPE Top 100 athlete Kaleb Madden will be one of those corners in man coverage. Joining Madden in the secondary is safety Isaac Hill. All three linebackers return from last year’s squad. Rhett Kennedy, Eli Hobson (5-8, 165, Jr.), and Adolfo Vasquez (5-8, 185, So.) will look to lead the defense from those linebacker positions. Assisting Sharp this year are Chance Sharp, Shane Collins, and Jackson Embry.
