Sulphur Girls Golf Finds The Fairway – Presented by RibCrib

Sulphur sophomore Paisley Eason, a rising star on the Lady Bulldogs golf team, talked with VYPE about her team.

When asked for a recap of the golf season, Paisley stated, “It was a really fun season and I think we all had a good time. The weather was never good, but that is what happens when you play golf in the spring! I think everyone definitely improved, mentally and score wise. I’m super proud of how my teammates did this season.”

In terms of what Paisley expects for the next season, she stated, “I am hoping everyone works over the summer and we can chop some strokes down on our team scores and individually. We will definitely miss having Owen, she was a huge part of our success, but I think next season’s team can be just as successful, if not more.”

Paisley thinks that all the returning players will play a key role next year.

“I think everyone has an important role. Emrie shot a 93 at regionals, and I think that’s showing true potential of how she can be shooting on average. That will come more consistent with more experience. Landry’s and Reagan’s scores battled back and forth, but are pretty consistent and are only getting better. If both of them practice in this off season they can definitely improve.”

Asked what challenges Paisley believes the Lady Bulldogs could face next year, she explained, “I think our challenges will be mostly mental, as it is a challenge for all golfers. The mental part of golf is the hardest part. We can definitely overcome that though as a team. Another challenge will be losing Owen, she helped us out a lot.”
