Loving what you do makes it easy to fully dedicate yourself to whatever it may be. For Isabella Guitierez, loving what she does makes it easy for her to dedicate herself to track.
Isabella is a sophomore at Pauls Valley High School. She is a part of her high school’s cross country, basketball, and track teams. She is involved with athletics year-round and does not have an off-season.
Out of all of the sports she participates in, track is where she dedicates most of her time and where she finds the most success. “My favorite thing about track is competing. I love it because I get to push myself to be the best I can be,” said Isabella. She continually pushes herself to be better than she was the day before, and to be better than the person across from her.
Isabella gets her sense of motivation from her family. “My biggest motivation is my family. They are always cheering me on in whatever I do,” said Isabella. “They push me to do my best and are always proud, whatever the outcome.”
Not only does her family love, support, and cheer for her in sports, they do all those things in everyday life. She is very thankful for the love and guidance that her parents have given her during her life. “They always make sure I have everything I need to succeed, they have sacrificed so much and I am so blessed to have them. They will do anything so I can live out my goals and dreams,” said Isabella.
