Jeremy Strong feels he has the pieces in place to compete in what will be a new district in Class 4A for his Ada Cougars in 2023. “We have an experienced group of girls returning. We have a good opportunity to compete in a tough new 4A district, and we are excited to get this season started,” Strong said. Ada will be led by a pair of four-year starters in seniors Abbey Strong and Rylynn Truett, both VYPE Top 100 nominees.
“Both All-District players and four-year starters returning for their senior years,” Strong said. “Abbey at third base and Rylynn at catcher will use their veteran leadership to lead the Lady Cougars this year.” Kieranie “Kiki” Williams returns after gaining valuable experience last season. “She got some experience under belt last year, and gained some confidence,” Strong said. “Will be looking to expand her role in helping the Lady Cougars moving forward.” Senior second baseman Josie Morgan will also play a key role in 2023. “She has held down the second base position for the last three years. She brings positive energy and leadership, and I’m looking forward to what she can do her senior year,” Strong said.
