Ada High School has a football treasure in Senior Samuel Jordan. Football has left its mark on
Sam and he has takeaways he will carry with him into his bright future. Takeaways like hanging
tough because things aren’t always as bad as they appear.
Some of that “tough” came into play in one of his favorite memories when he tackled the running
back in the backfield on three consecutive plays during a JV game. You don’t get to that level
without doing the very best you can and Sam has his dad to thank for that life lesson. Sam says
his dad inspires him to be a better person everyday.
Sam also carries the inspiration and encouragement he’s received from some pretty amazing
teachers. Mrs. Hawley, Ms. Duncan, and Mrs. Morrison have had a big impact on Sam and
made his education career thus far, so much more enjoyable.
Sam hopes to pass on motivation to younger students like the motivation he’s received from
George Maddox. Sam says “His passion and energy get me hyped up and ready to play!”
This passion is part of the tradition of Ada High School and Sam considers it such an honor to
play for Ada and represent their rich history.
The greatest piece of advice Sam has ever received he says is “You can do great things if you
put forth the effort.” and he is doing just that. He also takes time to cheer on his beloved
Philadelphia Eagles, he is a full time, devoted fan “Fly Eagles Fly!”
We’ve heard it said “It takes a village” and in Sam’s case, it must be so. He’s so grateful to his
mom and dad for the support and encouragement in everything he does and to his family for
showing up to all his games. He’s also so thankful to the amazing staff and coaches at Ada
High School for being awesome and never giving up on him.
