VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish this season (individual or team goals)?
TrystunnFleeks: Getting that gold ball.
VYPE: What matchup are you most looking forward to this season?
TF: I’m looking forward to playing Idabel in the championship in their tournament.
VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher and how were they influential in your life?
TF: Mrs. Edinger because she kept me in line and from falling down the wrong path. She always has my back.
VYPE: What preparation have you taken this off-season to better equip yourself for the upcoming season?
TF: I’ve been putting up a lot more shots and I’ve also been lifting more too.
VYPE: Who has been your favorite coach throughout your career and how did they impact you as a player?
TF: Coach Shanklin because he pushed me to be the best I could be and more.
VYPE: Did you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you?
TF: The whole team supports each other, and we all have each other’s backs.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
TF: When adversity comes, never give up. Dig deep and keep fighting. Basketball is a fast-paced game, just like life.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
TF: When we beat the team that beat us to go to state last season.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
TF: I’m going to college to get my business degree and start my own business.
