VYPE: What matchup are you most looking forward to this season?
Emily Bellettini: I am looking forward to playing Idabel.
VYPE: Did you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you?
EB: One teammate that I admire is Avri Weeks. Avri was a senior when I was a freshman. She was the best leader and always came ready to work every day.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
EB: One thing basketball has taught me is that even though you get tired, you have got to keep pushing; you can’t just give up.
VYPE: Who has been your favorite coach throughout your career and how did they impact you as a player?
EB: My favorite coach has been Coach Rumer. He has always pushed me to be the best I can be, even when things got tough.
VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher and how were they influential in your life?
EB: My favorite teacher has been Coach K. She has always held me accountable in the classroom and on the court. She has always been there and been a listening ear.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
EB: My favorite memory has been beating Idabel in the Area Championship to go to State.
VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish this season (individual or team goals)?
EB: This season, I hope to make it to the State Tournament.
VYPE: What preparation have you taken this off-season to better equip yourself for the upcoming season?
EB: During the offseason, I have played in numerous travel ball tournaments and leagues with high competition levels to prepare for this season.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
EB: After high school, I plan on attending Oklahoma State University to study architecture.
