VYPE: What challenges have you faced in your sports journey, and how did you overcome them?
Keegan Robertson: I was weak and didn’t have a good velocity at a young age, so I knew I had to train and do the right workouts to gain what I needed.
VYPE: What inspired you to start playing your sport?
KR: I found out I enjoyed baseball ever since I was a little boy.
VYPE: How do you balance the demands of academics and athletics in your daily schedule?
KR: My grades are the most important thing to me, and I know that if I keep my grades up, I will have extra time to lift and train.
VYPE: Can you share a memorable moment or achievement from your high school sports career that stands out to you?
KR: I have won at state twice and those are memories that will last a lifetime.
VYPE: Can you tell us a bit about your background, in terms of academics and sports?
KR: I’ve been supported great along the years from my parents and friends.
VYPE: How has being part of a team influenced your personal growth and character development?
KR: My team is the greatest thing for me; they make sure I strive to be the best I can be.
VYPE: Which athlete, professional or otherwise, do you look up to and why?
KR: I look up to my father. Even though he didn’t play a professional sport, he is a true role model to me.
VYPE: Are there any specific rituals or routines you follow before a game or competition to prepare yourself mentally and physically?
KR: I make sure I pray before every game because I know God can help me get through any struggles.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
KR: After high school, I will continue my baseball journey for as long as I can.
