Ada’s boys tennis team returns five of its top six players from last year.
“The boys had an outstanding season last year,” Ada head coach Terry Swopes said, “and they will be more experienced this year, with only one varsity member playing for the first time.”
Junior Tate Danielson headlines the returning group.
“This will be [Danielson’s] third year playing varsity tennis,” Swopes said. “He played No. 2 doubles his freshman year and No. 1 doubles last year. Tate is an excellent tennis player and an incredible leader.”
All six players are juniors. Swopes considers Halston Redwine the “hardest worker” on the team.
“[Redwine] puts in an incredible amount of time at the courts and he encourages his teammates to join him,” Swopes said. “He has turned himself into one of the best players in the state.”
Jackson Swopes has a “servant’s heart” and is a great encouragement to his teammates, along with being one of its best players.
