Ada High School Cheer
Ada High School cheerleader Kennedi Peters didn’t start in cheer as a youth, it wasn’t until she was in middle school when she first got a taste of cheer.
“I grew up dancing for 11 years of my life and then in eighth grade all my friends were trying out for cheer so I thought I should too,” said Peters.
Now a member of the varsity cheer squad, Peters said she loves being on the team and being a student at AHS. “I love being an athlete at Ada because our coaches make it super fun and also all of the opportunities we have. I have enjoyed the friendships I have made. The girls are like my sisters, and we can goof-off but then also come together and work very hard,” said Peters.
Peters and her teammates are always excited to compete and be a big part of the football games.
“I am very excited to compete. We have a great team and some amazing girls with so much talent, so I am excited to show that off. I would keep an eye out for the entire freshman class. We have nine freshmen, and they are incredible athletes, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish through there years,” said Peters.
In the classroom, Peters said her favorite subject in Performing Arts with Merrie Palmer.
“I have been in her class since seventh grade, so she has had a huge impact on my life.”
The senior has plans for life after graduation.
“I am actually not going to college, I will be working on becoming a Real Estate agent at Maxwell Real Estate and hope to take over the business,” said Peters.
As for the Class of 2024. “I want our class to be remembered has the class who worked hard and was extremely dedicated but also the class that was very outgoing and funny,” said Peters.
