Ada’s Kylee Witt- Tennis Spotlight – Presented by Core Orthodontics

At Ada High School, sophomore Kylee Witt is making her mark as a rising star on the tennis court. With a passion for the game and a drive to succeed, Kylee’s journey exemplifies the spirit of determination and dedication.

For Kylee, the camaraderie of her team and the allure of victory drive her to excel. “My biggest motivation is my team and the medals at the end of the tournaments,” she shared.

Drawing inspiration from her parents, Kylee has learned the value of hard work and perseverance. “They always taught me to work hard and never give up,” she said, grateful for their guidance and support.

In her tennis journey, coach Terry Swopes has been a guiding light, offering not only expert coaching but also valuable counsel. “Coach Swopes has had the biggest impact on my life. He’s been a really good coach and counselor for as long as I can remember, and I can always go to him for questions.”

Success in tennis demands patience and dedication, qualities that Kylee has cultivated through countless hours on the courts. “A lot of patience and hours at the courts,” she said, recognizing the discipline required to master her craft.

While individual achievements are rewarding, Kylee finds the most joy in the camaraderie of her team. “The highlight of my career so far has been making memories with the girls tennis team.”

On the practice court, Kylee finds joy in working alongside teammate Sadie Epps, whose humor and positivity bring levity to training sessions. “She’s such a funny and sweet person and practicing with her this season has been really fun.”

Kylee also admires the resilience and skill of teammate Jerzie O’Neal, who consistently delivers standout performances on the court. “She’s constantly having to switch up partners depending on the tournament when she plays doubles, and she always plays good no matter who she’s paired with.”

Looking to the future, Kylee plans to pursue a career in psychology, leveraging her passion for understanding the human mind to make a positive impact in the world.

Representing Ada Schools on the tennis court is both an honor and a responsibility for Kylee, who is determined to leave a lasting impression in her inaugural year on the team. “It means a lot to me to represent Ada Schools when I play.”
