Ada’s Rylynn Truett a natural behind the dish – Presented by Seth Wadley Auto

Playing the catcher position lends a player the opportunity to lead.
Ada High School’s Rylynn Truett embraces that role. She describes herself as “very vocal.”
“And trying to keep the team up in the dugout and involved in the locker room,” Truett said.
She was 3 years old when she first started playing T-Ball. She knew from the day her parents
introduced the game to her that she was hooked.
“I fell in love with it,” Truett said. “I just love the competitiveness of it. I love being able to be with
my team and just be a part of something. Catching is also one of my favorite things about it.
There is just something about it that is almost calming. I love being in the action all the time.”

Truett’s a natural behind the dish. She plays for both Ada’s fast-pitch and slow-pitch teams and
also plays basketball in the winter. Growing up in a town like Ada, being involved in several
sports was always a part of her journey.
Asked the most unique aspect of her hometown, Truett answered, “definitely the community.”
“I love being able to know so many people and have good relationships with them,” Truett said.
“I especially love being able to talk with them and coach them or even just get them to come to
games.”
