Ada’s Zoey Brown – Tennis Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma Complete Health

Ada High School student Zoey Brown is the epitome of tenacity and commitment, both on and off the tennis court. Zoey describes her path and the inspirations that have formed her sports career with a strong work ethic and passion for the game.

Motivated by her strong work ethic and a desire to bring out her best, Zoey approaches tennis with determination. “We only have one life, and I don’t want to waste any of it,” she said.

At the forefront of Zoey’s inspiration are her parents, Christy and Tyson Brown, who serve as her guiding lights and unwavering supporters. “They never stop encouraging and supporting me,” she acknowledged, recognizing their pivotal role in her journey.

Reflecting on her academic journey, Zoey credits Ms. Kim Hill, her first-grade teacher, for instilling in her a love for learning and resilience. “She had a big job, and I am grateful for her,” Zoey reflected, recalling Ms. Hill’s patience and kindness during her transition to learning a new language.

In the realm of sports, Zoey attributes her success to the guidance of her coaches, Christian Seigle, Carolyn Nimmo and Bill Nelson, who have played instrumental roles in her growth as a player. Through dedicated practice and unwavering commitment, Zoey strives to translate her efforts into success on the court.

A defining moment in Zoey’s career was standing on the State podium two years in a row, where she and her doubles partner secured fourth place. However, it was a challenging match against Carl Albert’s two doubles at State that left a lasting impact on Zoey. Despite the loss, Zoey emerged from the match with a newfound sense of resilience and determination.

Beyond tennis, Zoey actively participates in various campus activities and clubs, embracing the vibrant spirit of high school life. Looking ahead, Zoey aspires to pursue a career in the medical field, driven by her passion for helping others and making a positive impact in the world.

For Zoey, representing Ada High is a privilege and an honor, one that she cherishes with humility and pride. As she continues to pursue her dreams, Zoey Brown remains grateful for the opportunities and experiences that tennis and her school community have afforded her, embodying the true spirit of an Ada Cougar.
