Coach: Luke Clark
2021-22 Record: 16-10
Despite the fact the Lady Pirates were hit hard by graduation, head coach Luke Clark has his roster on board sailing to success paced by the play of two guards Alona
Cooper-Rochovitz (5-8, Jr.) and Cadence Carlos (5-8, Jr.) while this year’s squad solidifies its future plans for a solid run into postseason. “In addition to her 16 points per game last year, Alona brings more than just points to the final score with her leadership,” said the head coach in his first season on the Lady Pirates bench. “Cadence is our point guard whose motor never stops on offense and defense.”
Laney Waters (5-9, F, Sr.) has proven she can deliver plenty of offense from the perimeter as well as being a tough rebounder while Adyson Caton (6-0, F, Sr.) gives Clark a tall and defensive presence on the court while Lani Myers (5-7, G, Fr.) makes good use of her length as a defensive stopper. The Pirates will also look for productive performances from juniors Brylee Baird (5-5, G.), Lexi Matthews (5-6, G.) and Torri gustin (5-8, F.) and sophomore Hannah Wort (5-11, F.). The non-stop energy of freshmen Hailey Alexander (5-4, G.), Rez Anderson (5-5, G.), Treston Brown (5-7, F.), Chloe Gaines (5-6, G.), Lorren Shaw (5-8, F.) and Brayleigh Stephens (5-4, G.) will help to solidigy the depth for the Lady Pirates this season. “We have a talented group of players. The key will be putting the right kids in the right spots for us to succeed,” said Clark.
