Cadence Carlos is a standout track and cross country athlete at Byng High School.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Cadence: My favorite part would have to be just putting my Byng uniform on every meet and knowing that my school and teammates are there to support me in all I do.
VYPE: What has been your favorite sports memory?
Cadence: My favorite memory is when our team won state in cross country, we were all so excited because we had worked so hard! Seeing how happy the coach was with us was the best part!
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Cadence: My parents inspire me. Because they choose to be the best they possibly can be, even on hard days they are great parents. They push me to run at the ability they know I can run at so that I can go to a good college like they never could.
VYPE: What does family mean to you?
Cadence: My family means the world to me! I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without them, they push me to keep going on the days I feel like I can’t!
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Cadence: Deesa Neely was always a great teammate. She helped me out as a freshman. She taught me how important it is to be mentally tough in a sport like running!
