Roff’s Caden Graves – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Oklahoma AgCredit

When Caden Graves of Roff High School was in the seventh grade, he made the decision to be part of the FFA chapter at school. It was an easy decision for Graves, knowing he wanted to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.

“At a younger age my grandfather raised livestock and when I had the chance to become an FFA member, I joined. I wanted to get involved with livestock,” said Graves.

Raising cattle is just one of the aspects of FFA Graves enjoys. He also enjoys being around other like-minded students.

“I enjoy being with my peers and showing livestock,” said Graves.

Graves is currently showing two types of livestock and has decided to become an officer with the Roff chapter.

“I show two types of cattle, Angus and Maintainer,” said Graves. “I am involved with the show team, livestock judging team, and I am an officer on Roff High School.”

Graves recommends anybody curious about FFA visit a show.

“Find someone you trust and stick with them. It will be very rewarding, educational, and requires a lot of hard work on your own,” said Graves.

Away from the arena and cattle, you will find Graves practicing and playing baseball for Roff. Now a junior on the varsity team, Graves said baseball is a sport he loves to play, and he is looking forward to college life after he graduates.

“The thing I love most is being with my friends through good and bad working together to achieve the goals and life lessons it teaches you. I’m a junior and I want to further my education in agriculture, judging or showing livestock and raising my own livestock,” said Graves.

Graves said he would not be where he is today with his parents, Odie Heck and many others who have helped him through the years.
