Wynnewood’s Jamisyn Paige Thomas – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Excel Therapy

On the softball field and the cheerleading mat at Wynnewood High School, Jamisyn Thomas is more than simply an athlete—she’s an impressive presence. She is a junior, but her unwavering commitment to sports and contagious excitement for teamwork are already making an impact.

“When it comes to motivation, my teammates are my biggest inspiration,” Jamisyn said. Her commitment to her team drives her to push herself to new heights, both in softball and cheer.

Among her influences, Jamisyn counts her parents as her guiding lights. “They push me to do my absolute best in everything I do.”

In the classroom, Mrs. Sarah Scroggins stands out as a beacon of resilience and positivity. “Mrs. Scroggins has been through so much this past year and came to school every day with a smile on her face,” Jamisyn admired, acknowledging the impact of her teacher’s strength.

To excel in sports, Jamisyn emphasizes the importance of “consistency and a good attitude.” These aspects have been the cornerstones of her success in softball and cheer.

A standout moment in Jamisyn’s career came when her cheer team made it to the Game Day State competition for the first time ever. “It was so much fun,” she reminisced, cherishing the thrill of competing at the state level.

In practice, Jamisyn finds a spirited competitor in her teammate Charlee. “It’s funny when she gets mad,” Jamisynlaughed, highlighting the camaraderie that fuels their friendly rivalry.

Looking ahead, Jamisyn plans to pursue a career in dentistry after high school, driven by her passion for helping others.

Representing Wynnewood High School isn’t just a duty for Jamisyn Thomas; it’s a source of immense pride. With each game and cheer routine, she honors her family’s legacy and carries on the tradition of excellence at her alma mater.
