ATOKA WAMPUS CATS
Coach – JACOB CUPP
OFFENSE
The Wampus Cats return seven starters off of last year’s squad. Tyson Barrett (6-1, 165, Sr.) will have the helm at quarterback. He has 1,689 career passing yards. Joining Barrett in the backfield will be Tyrell Hill (6-2, 195, Jr.) and Andrew McCall (6-1, 195, Jr.). Both were workhorses last season and should be the same this year. A target on the outside, Andre Cheadle (5-9, 170, Sr.) is back after pulling in 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Greyson Axsom (5-10, 220, Jr.) will be the leader of the offensive line. Athlete Kollin Ritchie (6-2, 210, Jr.) will play at any position he is needed. Last year, he had 609 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns.
DEFENSE
The defense will look to stop the opponent’s big plays and play tough. Safeties Kollin Ritchie (6-2, 210, Jr.) and Jace Jackson (5-10, 165, Jr.) will be back patrolling the secondary. Last season they accumulated 82 tackles and should have a bigger impact this season. Also, returning are linebackers Andrew McCall (6-1, 195, Jr.) and Sean Allen (6-0, 175, Jr.). McCall had 42 tackles last season, while Allen registered 68 tackles, and both players are ready to make be key players for the defense. Down in the trenches will be Hill and Peyton Holland (6-4, 220, Sr.), who will both try to wreak havoc on the opposing offense.
