KINGSTON REDSKINS

Coach: BRAD HILL

5-6

OFFENSE

Head coach Brad Hill pushed the Redskins to a playoff berth last season giving the returning players a taste of post season play. That same group is hungry for more and coach Hill is excited to see what they can do with another year of experience under their belts. “We finished 5-6 last year, 5-2 in District play. We lost the first round playoff game to Lindsay. We will be young again, but we do return nine starters on offense and eight starters on defense. We have had a good offseason and look to improve from last year and

be in the mix for the district championship race,” said Hill. One area of the team returning with a solid nucleus is the receiving corps. Cash Walker (6-3, 150, Jr.) and Sam Walker (6-4, 170, Jr.) are two big playmakers who can force teams to abandon their defensive scheme for more coverage downfield. If the Redskins are in 20-personnell look for Parks Ratzlaff (5-10, 185, So.) at halfback and Logan Stephens (5-8, 165, So.) at tailback. It’s a “pick your poison” scenario with Ratzlaff and Stephens. Add Delton O’Steen (6-2, 185, Sr.) to the running game and you have the makings of what could be the best trio of backs in the district, maybe the class. Isaac Hahn (6-4, 230, Jr.) is charged with opening holes and protecting the QB. He will have some help in Aiden Donnell.

DEFENSE

Aiden Donnell (6-2, 210, Sr.) is a VYPE Top 100 nominee and a two-way starter for the Redskins. Donnell is a four-year starter and someone coach Hill believes can take over a game in the 4-3 scheme the Redskins will run. Brady Greene (5-10, 185, Jr.) will take some of the pressure off Donnell at his nose guard position. Reid Patterson (5-10, 185, So.) has become a vocal leader on the team and will start at linebacker. Patterson is competing for the job at QB as well. Rhett Coble (5-11, 175, Sr.) joins Patterson at linebacker. Coble brings experience to the position and is someone who coach Hill can count on for big plays. Eli Oliger (5-11, 170, Jr.) will start at safety with possibly a few names from offense. Jacoby Jackson (6-1, 215, Jr.) is another linebacker/defensive end type who plays a hybrid position based on what the defense needs. The coaching staff includes Jeff Smiley (DC), Mark Patterson (DL), Jude Schlesselman (LB), Tyler Stovall (CB/WR), Blake Summer (QB), Joe Massey (RB), Nic Clayburn (OL), Chance Williams (Asst. OL), Jarius Martin (SP), John Caraway (JH), and Jason Hightower (JH).
