Wampus Cats Collect Honors – Presented by stuteville ford Atoka

Nine members of the Atoka track team earned the right to compete and then brought home championship efforts at the OSSAA state track championships. Among the five Wampus Cats competing in the boys events, Tarrin Snow won the gold medal in the Class 3A high jump with a leap of 6’2 and then captured the bronze medal in the 200m run. Peyton Holland collected a pair of awards finishing sixth in the shot put event plus a fourth place finish in the discus where teammate Jamar McKee was among the field of athletes. The Wampus Cats pole vault duo reached the medal stand as Gavin Harrison finished fourth and Sean Allen picked up the fifth place medal. The Lady Cats sent four athletes to the state meet scoring points in the field events as Andee Allen collected the fourth place medal in pole vault while Reagan Cochran finished fourth in the high jump. Jodi Moore score points for Atoka with an eighth place finish in the long jump while Hannah Vanderburg competed against the championship field in the 1600 meter run.
