PLAYERS TO WATCH

Football

Caden Lesnau  – McAlester

As a sophomore, he played wide receiver on a state runner up team. Then moved to quarterback and led the Buffs again to the state championship game in a completely different position. He is an outstanding player and leader.

Jackson Moody  – Hartshorne

Jackson plays quarterback, free safety, and punter. He also made over half of the tackles on kickoff. He is a team player and is willing to do whatever it takes to help the Miners win.  

Canadian

Eli Blankenship  – Quinton

Eli does a great job of making the offense go. He is a threat to run and pass the ball. 

Softball

Brook Weiher – McAlester

Brook is a four-year starter for McAlester. She is the anchor for the team both defensively and offensively.  

Sophia Calistro – Savanna

Sophia plays shortstop and leads off at the plate. She has tremendous speed and is very aggressive on the base path. 

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Football

Jordan Clark – McAlester

Has a chance to be a special athlete for the Buffaloes this season. He is a leader on and off the field.

Brandon Parajo – Hartshorne

Brandon is a very gifted and hungry young football player. His coaches are excited to see what he does at the varsity level. He is a State Champion Powerlifter and is a 1,000+ pound lifter as an eighth-grader.

Canadian

Bo Wagnon – Quinton

A strong kid with a lot of upside, Wagnon has a great work ethic and will be a big time player this season.

Softball

Rylan Lesnau – McAlester

Rylan will be a freshman this year and will step into a huge role for the Buffs at the shortstop position. She is a natural athlete with a lot of range at shortstop. Look for her to make some huge plays for us this year.
