QUINTON SAVAGES
Coach – KENNY HOKIT
OFFENSE
The Savages has a solid season a year ago, even though they may not have reached their final goal. After losing in the third round of the Class B playoffs, they are ready to get back on the field and make another playoff run. Head coach Kenny Hokit says he expects great things this season. “I am looking forward to a great season,” he said. “We have a lot of returning starters coming back and that experience will be very beneficial for us.” Eli Blankenship (6-0, 160, So.) will lead the offense from the quarterback position. He is joined by a host of offensive skill players including running back Tyson Sustaire (6-1, 170, Jr.), wide receiver Ryan Clark (5-9, 150, Sr.), and tight end Owen Nicholson (6-0, 190, Sr.). Taking care of things in the trenches will be offensive linemen Caden Williams (6-0, 205, Jr.) and KaMaree Gragg (5-10, 285, So.).
DEFENSE
On the defensive side, the Savages will work hard to pressure their opponent and keep things contained. Colt Short (6-0, 190, Sr.) and Sustaire will play at defensive end and work to cause problems upfront for the opponent. Williams and Nicholson will both line up at linebacker and keep the opponent contained and not let them break a big play. Cody McClendon (5-8, 150, Sr.) and Blankenship will patrol the secondary and keep the opposing receivers at bay and work to lock them down.
