GIRLS
Coach: Casey Butcher
21-22 Record: 21-6
With the team spirit that values the importance of WE over me, the Lady Eagles will once again be tough to defeat. The competitive battles in daily practices make games fun as Casey Butcher will use a rotation of girls to maintain an up-tempo style of play. “This group is all about the team over themselves and push each other to be their best everyday,” replied the veteran coach whose teams are traditionally considered a state tournament and title contender. A four-year starter Kaylee Cannon (5-10, G/F, Sr.), who averaged 14.9 points per game is one of several players on this year’s Red Oak roster that not only knows how to score in a variety of ways and enjoys making key efforts on the defensive end of the court.
Butcher compliments the determination of returning starters Gracie Noggle (5-8, G, Sr.) who tallied 7.2 per contest and Lexi Ober (5-5, G, Jr.) joins Maycee Butcher (5-8, C, Sr.) and Mattie Vanhook (5-4, C, Fr.) for setting the standard of hard work. Adding to the Lady Eagles chances for another Class A state tournament flight will be a talented group of freshmen including Kaytee Hood (5-5, G, Fr.), Jayla King (5-5, G, Fr.), Jaylee Branscum (5-7, G/F, Fr.), Allie Tovar (5-6, F, Fr.), Presley McClary (5-4, G, Fr.), Farrah Hempfling (5-4, G, Fr.) and Janessa Adams (5-3, G, Fr.).
