OFFENSE
The Bulldogs offense will aim to run the ball and use short passing game to control the clock in an effort to average at least four yards a play. Quarterback Ayden Fry (6-0, 170, Sr.) leads the offense. Fry is a smart player, great leader, and has great understanding of the game and what needs to be accomplished. One of his top targets will be Jaedon Dan (6-2, 170, Sr.), a receiver with great hands who runs good routes and protects the football. Kinyon Burge (5-8, 160, Jr.) will offer another option at receiver as will Gavin Jaffe (6-3, 180, Sr.) at tight end. Jordan Kimbrough (5-10, 160, Jr.) will be the main guy to run the ball, along with Garrett Ward at tailback. Ward runs hard and gives everything he has at all times. Hayden Moore (6-0, 230, Sr.) will snap the ball at center.
DEFENSE
Kimbrough will also dominate the backfield on the defensive side of the ball with help from linebacker Brett Dickens (5-10, 170, Jr.). The defensive line will be anchored by Caleb Whitfield (6-0, 230, Jr.) and Cade Smith (5-8, 230, Jr.). The Bulldogs’ defensive motto is to hustle and get 11 hats to the ball. “Looking for improvement overall,” said head coach Rick Cherry. “Returning lots of experience. Last year’s young guys are older. They are working hard to get better.” Coach Cherry is joined by assistants Matt Murdaugh, Matt Miller, and Dustin Wall.
