Cordavious: Basketball has taught me leadership and how to stay grinding.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Cordavious: My favorite teacher is my English teacher.  She understands my struggle and helps me because I want to make it out of where I’m from.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Cordavious: I also run track, high jump, and all the sprint events.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Cordavious: I look up to Michael Jordan because he is a good athlete and he always puts in work when nobody is looking.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Cordavious: Cole Grant because he is a senior and he is always there to lift my head up and struggle with me.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Cordavious: I got into sports when I was 7 years old and living in Valiant. I moved to Hugo when I was 11 and then I moved to Idabel and I found my home. I have continued playing basketball because I love the game.

Cordavious: The best quote I have heard is “If you don’t get on the train, you will be watching the smoke blow.”

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Cordavious: My favorite part of being on the team is going through all the ups and downs of a season with my brothers.
