9 Questions with Broken Bow’s Tyson Woolsey – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Evan Smalling State Farm

VYPE: What motivates you?

Tyson Woolsey: What motivates me the most is definitely my family and my teammates.

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models? Why?

TW: My parents are without a doubt the biggest influences in my life. I would be nowhere near where I am today if it was not for them.

VYPE: What positions do you play in your sports?

TW: am a pitcher and first baseman in softball, and I am a forward in basketball.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?

TW: For me to be successful in sports, it has taken a lot of hard work and long hours, whether that be on the field or in the gym.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?

TW: The highlight of my career so far is definitely my 34-point game against Cassady this season at the Washington Tournament.

VYPE: Is there an opponent that you enjoy beating the most? Why?

TW: I don’t have a certain opponent that I enjoy beating more than the other, I enjoy winning against anyone.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most with in practice? Why?

TW: I don’t have a certain teammate I like to go against the most, but rather my coach. Coach Miranda Smith is never afraid to jump in and play with us high schoolers, she is definitely the most challenging for me to play defense on or score against.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

TW: My plans after high school are to continue my athletic career in college.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?

TW: It means a lot to me to get to represent Broken Bow while doing what I love most.
