Broken Bow’s Haylie Brantley – Track Spotlight – Presented by Jennifer Broades State Farm Insurance

Haylie Brantley is an all-around athlete for the Broken Bow Savages. From fast pitch softball to basketball, track and even dance team, Haylie’s dedication to excellence shines through in every endeavor.

In fast pitch softball, Haylie commands the field from the shortstop position, showcasing her agility and precision. In slow pitch, she patrols center field with finesse, while on the basketball court, she leads the team as a skilled point guard. In track, Haylie’s versatility is on full display as she competes in various events, including the 800-meter dash, 400-meter dash and relays.

Driven by her goals and future aspirations, Haylie sets her sights on being the best in every sport she undertakes. “I want to be the best in every sport, so I strive to get there,” she said, embodying a spirit of determination and ambition.

Despite her individual aspirations, Haylie recognizes the importance of teamwork and acknowledges the contributions of her teammates, including the freshmen who may sometimes feel overlooked. “Some of the freshman may feel overlookedbut they all work hard and play a vital role in our team’s success.”

In the classroom, Haylie finds inspiration in Mrs. Wanda Wood, a teacher who not only imparts knowledge but also serves as a trusted confidante. “Not only is she a great teacher, but she is also always there for you when you need someone to talk to about everyday life.”

For Haylie, success in sports requires unwavering dedication and hard work, values instilled in her by her coaches, who continually push her to reach her full potential. Among her influential teammates is Greydon Howell, a teammate whose exceptional performance serves as both a challenge and a source of encouragement. “He has the fastest time on our team and although I know I will never beat him, he pushes me to be better with great encouragement.”

Outside of sports, Haylie is actively involved in various clubs and organizations, including student council, Spanish club, Key Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and community service.

Looking ahead, Haylie plans to pursue a career in dentistry at a college of her choice, driven by her passion for helping others and making a positive impact on her community.
