BOYS
Coach: Blane Lindly
20-21 Record: 5-10
Being young is not always a bad thing when competing at the varsity level. Head coach Blane Lindly believes he has the players to compete despite their age. “We’re young, but very talented. Made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores,” said coach Lindly. “Should be in a good position to contend and win a lot of ball games the next few years.” Zamion Threadgill (6-3, Jr.) averaged 12.2 points per game a year ago. Threadgill is an excellent athlete with a strong inside game and the ability to step out and hit three-point shots. His leadership role continues to grow and mature. Shane Threadgill (6-1, Fr.) is one of the top small school freshmen in the state. He averaged 25 points a game his eighth-grade year and brings a physical style of play to the court for the Lions. David Farren (6-1, Jr.) will start at shooting guard where he averaged 5.5 points last year. He is capable of hitting the three and being disruptive on defense. O’Marion Frost (5-9, So.) managed 4.7 points a game as a freshman last year. He is a very good defender with quick hands. He will set the tone on defense. Look for the Lions to be a tough out as the season moves forward and the players become more comfortable in their roles.
