Haworth’s Omarion Frost – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Pine Cellular

Omarion Frost is an outstanding competitor not only on the basketball court but also off it at Haworth High School. Deeply involved with welding and basketball, Frost is ready to take life’s challenges head-on.

As a dedicated point guard, Frost leads by example, fueled by a desire to make his family proud. “Making my mom proud motivates me,” he shared.

Drawing inspiration from his father and basketball legend Kobe Bryant, Frost embodies the spirit of perseverance and hard work. “They both worked hard to get where they are, and seeing them succeed made me better,” Frost reflected, acknowledging the profound impact of his role models.

Success in sports, Frost attests, demands unwavering determination and relentless practice. “To be successful, I have had to practice and get in the gym as often as possible,” he emphasized.

For Frost, the highlight of his career transcends individual accolades; it’s the camaraderie and memories forged with his teammates both on and off the court. “Playing ball in general is a highlight for me,” he said, cherishing the bonds and experiences shared with his team.

In the competitive realm of basketball, Valliant stands out as a cherished opponent, embodying the spirit of friendly rivalry. “Valliant was the team I always wanted to compete against because my brother played there,” Frost said.

In practice, Frost finds a worthy adversary in teammate Jaxton Weedn, relishing the challenge and mutual growth that their matchups entail. “We challenge each other.”

Amidst the hustle and intensity of the game, Frost recognizes the quiet dedication of teammate Qwontrill Williams, whose tireless efforts often go unnoticed. “Qwontrill Williams is the least appreciated player because he is a quiet team player that hustles and works hard,” Frost acknowledged.

Beyond basketball, Frost’s commitment to Kiamichi Technology Center welding underscores his multifaceted talents and ambitions. With aspirations to pursue a career in welding post-graduation, Frost remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence, both on and off the court.

For Frost, representing Haworth isn’t just about winning games; it’s about embodying the values of community and integrity that define his hometown. “It is important to me to represent Haworth because that is my home.”
