Case Pratt – Idabel
Case has been a staple in Idabel athletics. He improved drastically last season on the diamond and coaches look for him to have a great senior season.
Kyler Pollard – Smithville
Kyler is the senior hoping to carry the Braves to the win column this spring. In the fall, he batted .413 with a slugging percentage of .707. On top of his offensive approach, he had a 3.24 ERA on the mound. This senior leader hopes to set the tone early for the Braves to reach the win column in hopes to make a run at the playoffs this spring.
Jase Fulks – Stratford
Jase led the team last year with a .643 batting average, registering eighteen singles, six doubles, two triples, and a home run, while also only striking out twice. He has a .545 career batting average and is a great leader on and off the field. Jase comes into his senior year looking to improve on last year’s season and hopes to make a deeper run in the playoffs.
Noah Guest – Valliant
A senior who will play multiple positions and be an integral part of the pitching staff as well, Noah will bat in the middle of the order. He is an intelligent and hard-working player.
Slowpitch Softball
Kennedee Brittain – Broken Bow
Kennedee is an outstanding player that has put in a lot of hard work to become the athlete that she is.
Courtney Grey – Buffalo Valley
She is a great role model for the younger athletes to look up to. Courtney is impactful when she is on the diamond.
Taylor McKnight – Fort Towson
Taylor is going to be a key player for the Lady Tigers this season. She will look to lead the team into a playoff run.
Curstin Pate – Haworth
The Haworth Lady Lions look to Curstin for her leadership on and off the field this season. She has worked hard to become a great player.
Mercades Lopez – Idabel
Mercades has a high softball IQ and is a solid athlete. She loves the game of softball and it shows everytime she steps onto the field.
Kaybre Batchelor – Smithville
Kaybre is expected to play a big role for Smithville on the softball field this season. She is solid at the plate and on defense.
Malaree Morris – Talihina
On the field and in the classroom, Malaree works hard at whatever she is doing. She does a great job of being there for her teammates when they need help with something.
KK Bean – Valliant
KK is a superb softball player and will be a key player for the Bulldogs this season.
Addison Walker – Whitesboro
Addison is a standout player on the field and she does a great job of making plays happen. She is also a dangerous player with the bat.
Kinsley Scrivner – Wright City
Kinsley is a “great kid,” her coaches say, and “is a solid athlete and an even better person.” She will be looked towards as a leader on the team this season.
UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
Baseball
Chase Pollard – Smithville
Chase has a stellar arm and went 6-4 in the fall on the mound with a 4.32 ERA. He played a vital role as one of the go-to players for the Braves in search of a big moment of momentum. It can’t be understated how big his role will be this Braves spring season.
Brody Dorries – Valliant
An amazing defensive shortstop, Dorries has the potential to be an outstanding young pitcher. Will most likely bat in the top part of the lineup.
UNSUNG HEROES
Baseball
Payton Winship – Smithville
This utility player is one that seems to understand his role, whether it be playing behind the dish, on the corners, or having a hot bat when needed. He seems to be one that can really make the steam roll for the Braves offensive or defensive.
Clancy Trapp – Valliant
A junior who can do it all, Clancy will play multiple spots in the infield along with catching when needed. He will also be regularly relied upon to pitch during district play.
