TALIHINA GOLDEN TIGERS
Coach – KELLY GRAVITT
OFFENSE
After COVID limited Talihina to only four games, the Golden Tigers are more than ready to get started in 2021. In his 20th year at the school, head coach Kelly Gravitt is just ready for normalcy. The Golden Tigers offense returns six starters from last season. Taking snaps at quarterback is Nolan Baughman (6-0, 175, Sr.). Baughman brings back two targets from last year as well, including wide receivers Alex Johnson (6-0, 175, Sr.) and Noah Bryant (6-0, 175, Sr.). After successful junior seasons, these two can expect more touches going into their senior season. At running back is Blaze Baugh (5-8, 175, Jr.) who will take the majority of snaps at running back. Eli Adams (6-4, 225, Sr.) looks to help lead the offensive line after gaining some varsity experience, and the Golden Tigers being relatively young at this positions. Coach Gravitt and his staff plan on running a spread formation, making sure their best athletes get the ball.
DEFENSE
The defense returns six starters as well but have four that they think will really shine on Friday nights. Johnson, Adams, and Baugh will all line up on defense as well. Johnson will line up at safety, a position he has started at before. Adams will line up at defensive end, and Baugh will line up at linebacker. Another player to note is Trace Kight (6-1, 225, Jr.) who uses his size and quickness at defensive end. Look for this defense to control the line of scrimmage and make teams beat them by throwing the football.
