Mom of the Month Lindsay Gaston Presented by PINE Cellular

Lindsay Gaston isn’t just a mom on the sidelines; she’s the backbone of the Broken Bow Lady Savages Basketball team, a beacon of support and dedication for the athletes and coaches alike.

For Lindsay, the joy of being a sports mom goes beyond the thrill of the game; it’s about witnessing the bonds of friendship and teamwork form among the players. “Watching the kids build relationships with each other and grow as a team together is what I enjoy the most,” she shared, highlighting the camaraderie that defines the team’s spirit.

Her inspiration to go above and beyond for the basketball program stems from a deep-rooted desire to give back. “I appreciate all the time our coaches and their families sacrifice for our programs,” Lindsay explained. “If there is something I can do to help make their jobs just a little easier, I am always happy to assist.”

As a school employee and a mom to children actively involved in sports, Lindsay’s journey with the basketball program is intertwined with her love for the community. “I have watched a lot of the athletes grow up over the years,” she reflected. “Therefore, it’s hard not to want to help them when I can.”

Among her cherished memories as a basketball mom is witnessing the team’s triumphant victory against all odds. “Watching them defeat a team last year that we were not supposed to beat was unforgettable,” Lindsay recalled with pride. “They dug deep and played hard, and it was so exciting to watch them believe in themselves.”

To Lindsay, being an involved parent means being present in every aspect of the players’ lives, offering unwavering support and encouragement. Her greatest achievement lies not in accolades but in the relationships she nurtures with the athletes, instilling confidence and determination in each one of them.

And she’s not alone in her endeavors. Lindsay acknowledges the unwavering support of fellow parents, whose willingness to lend a hand make all the difference. “All of the parents are wonderful,” she said. “Not one of them has ever declined to help.”

As she looks ahead, Lindsay’s message is clear: “Best of luck to all the kiddos and GO SAVAGES!” With Lindsay Gaston in their corner, the Lady Savages Basketball team has not just a dedicated mom but a true champion of their cause.
