OFFENSE

Ten starters will return to the field for the Stratford Bulldogs. They will be multiple on offense with some spread and I-formation. Leading the pack is quarterback Nolan Hall (5-10, 165, Sr.), who passed for 875 yards last year, rushed for 859, and had 15 total touchdowns. Hall is a tough young man who leads by example and has the ability to make a difference. His two most notable targets will be Hunter Morton (5-9, 165, Sr.) and David Arriaga (6-1, 200, Jr.). Last season Morton had 511 receiving yards, 185 rushing, and seven touchdowns. Arriaga accumulated 321 rushing yards, 75 receiving, and two touchdowns. He is also an excellent kicker. Walker Chandler (6-0, 180, Jr.), who was injured last year, will look to make an impact as running back/tight end. Snapping the ball at center will be Josiah Stevens (6-1, 230, Sr.), backed up on the line by Aaron Carter (6-0, 230, Sr.).

DEFENSE

Morton, Arriaga, and Chandler will also be key in the backfield on the defensive side of the ball. Last year, Morton and Arriaga together totaled 125 tackles, three interceptions, and three sacks. Sean Harian (6-0, 180, Sr.) will add to this effort as a linebacker/defensive back who had 52 tackles last year. Carter will contribute on the defensive line long with Blake English (5-9, 220, Sr.), who had 46 tackles and two sacks last year. “We are excited about our team coming back as we will have most of the team back and they have been working very hard,” said head coach Michael Blackburn. Coach Blackburn is joined by assistants James Martin, Robert Alberson, Kyle Wood, and Jake Foster.
