Durant Area Hometown Hero Nominees 2022 – Presented By Excel Therapy

John Miller (Antlers) – John is an amazing young man who is very active in sports, band, and the classroom. John is full of heart, commitment, work ethic, character, integrity, and dedication to his team and his community.

Andrew McCall (Atoka) – Andrew is a great kid that works hard at whatever he does. He is also a tremendous student and works as hard in the classroom as he does on the field.

Emily Fisher (Bennington) – She is an excellent all-around kid. She is willing to help anyone when she can. Emily is a kid that is respectful, hard-working, strives for greater things, and accomplishes what she puts her mind to.

Dristan Harber (Bennington) – Dristan is a very positive leader in the school. He is a young man of impeccable character and has high standards. He is active in school and interacts with students that have different interests, different ethnic groups, and different economic levels. He values all of the students the same. Dristan is a young man that can be counted on to do what he should do and be where he is supposed to be. Positive leadership like Dristan demonstrates is very rare in high school and shows how amazing this student is.

Addy Thomas (Caddo) – Addy is an outstanding athlete that plays a big part in her team’s success. Away from sports, she goes out of her way to help others.

Jody Travethan (Coalgate) – Jody is one of the hardest workers, always trying to get better and stronger. He is a great supporter of all the sports throughout the school. He also plays bingo at the nursing home as well as delivers gifts at Christmas.

Kimbree Rush (Durant) – Kimbree continuously goes out of her way every day to make everyone else’s day better. She is always a light to be around and constantly has a good attitude no matter the task. Kimbree also has a sense of responsibility and leadership on and off the field.

Ambree Morris (Stringtown) – Ambree is an all-around great kid, going out of the way to help others at any chance.

Fisher Hurt (Tushka) – He is an all around kid that sees the good in everyone. He is very respectful and steps out his comfort zone to excel in areas where others just watch. FIsher is a true leader in the community and helps minister to younger youth to become leaders and not just follow the norm.
