CANADIAN COUGARS
Coach -WESLEY JACKSON
OFFENSE
“The Cougars are going to ‘board the boat’ and become better than before. We will take all season one rep at a time and grow into the program we strive to become,” sixth year head coach Wesley Jackson said. With almost an entirely new starting lineup, the Cougars believe with the players they do have returning and some fresh new faces, they can succeed. A player to watch for on the offensive line is Camden Harris (6-2, 220, Jr.). Harris returns to the starting lineup for the Cougars and looks to lead the line. The philosophy for Canadian is to perfect the small things and big things will be executed through the details.
DEFENSE
Similar to the offense, the defense doesn’t have a lot of returning starters, but believe they can compete at a high level. Harris will return to the defensive line as well and will have to lead on both sides of the ball. Nick King will be a threat on the field as well, being a leader by nature and pushes his team to get better every day. Caden Elza is only a freshman but has already impressed the coaching staff with his understanding of the game and willingness to learn and get better constantly. People can expect Elza to be a stand out for the class of 2025. Issac Smith, Brandon Ybanez, and Caleb Morgan all play vital roles on the team, on and off the field, and look to help build the leadership this team needs to succeed.
