McAlester Area Football “Super 7” – Fan’s Choice – Presented By Excel Therapy

McALESTER AREA FANS CHOICE

Based on fans votes in online polls, these are the top seven players in the McAlester Area hub selected by position.

QB: Eli Blankenship – 6-0, 160, Sr. – Quinton:  The veteran signal caller will play a key role in the Savages quest to return to the Class B state playoffs this fall.

RB: Tyson Sustaire – 6-1, 170, Sr. – Quinton: Carry the load will be the assignment for Quinton’s ground game with Sustaire getting plenty of touches. 

WR: Lleyton Bass – 5-10, 170, Sr. – McAlester:  The elusive and sure handed receiver will play a key role in the Buffs fulfilling their dreams of a Class 5A state title shot.

OL: Camden Harris – 6-2, 220, Jr. – Canadian: A returning starter for the Cougars who will seek to dominate ahainst the ground game while blanketing opposing wide receivers.  

LB: John Beauchamp – 5-10, 220, Jr. – Hartshorne: Bigger, faster and stronger, the Miners outside packer will aggressively chase down ball carriers from his side of the field.

DL: Colt Short – 6-0, 190, Sr. – Quinton: The Savages defensive end will be relied upon to seal the edge as well as pressure quarterbacks.

DB: Aubrey Runkle 6-1, 165, Jr. – Wilburton: After grabbing seven pass interceptions last season, opponents are looking to go away from the Diggers’ secondary police office.
